A trailblazing film director. A snowboarding champion. A pioneering mathematician for NASA. An iconic artist. Barbie is marking International Women's Day by honoring some of the inspiring women of the present and the past.
Irreverent comedian Amy Schumer has announced she will no longer star in a live-action Barbie film scheduled for next year. The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo actress had previously announced she would be taking on the role, and said she was "honoured" for having the opportunity to play "such an important and evolving icon". The movie, being produced by Sony Pictures, was due to start shooting this summer, but will now have to find another lead woman.
