Dutch authorities have caught the man suspected of opening fire on a tram in the Dutch city of Utrech, killing three people and injuring five others. Gokmen Tanis, 37, who has had previous run-ins with law enforcement, was arrested on Monday night, police said.

The European Union’s aviation safety agency EASA suspended all flights in the bloc by Boeing’s 737-8 and 737-9 aircraft following Sunday’s deadly plane crash in Ethiopia. Swiss authorities said they had also banned the 737 MAX 8aircraft, following the EU decision, as did several countries in the Asia Pacific region.
