Charlotte Tilbury Is Bringing Her Signature Sexy Makeup to the Victoria's Secret Runway

The 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is rapidly approaching and the plans for the New York City event are really coming together. On Monday morning, we got some big news on the beauty front: Charlotte Tilbury is partnering with Victoria's Secret as the show's exclusive makeup sponsor.

That means that not only will every model walking in this year's show (we've compiled a helpful reference list here, should you be curious) will be wearing Tilbury's signature sexy makeup — but also that Tilbury herself will be keying the show backstage. Most recently, the makeup for the Victoria's Secret show has been overseen by Tom Pecheux, who has relied on the lingerie company's own makeup line or that of an occasional outside sponsor (like Max Factor in 2016). Perhaps now that Pecheux is tied up with his role as Global Beauty Director for Yves Saint Laurent beauty, Victoria's Secret saw fit to shake things up a bit.

"I am beyond excited to officially announce that I am the exclusive makeup sponsor of the heavenly, world-famous, iconic Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2018, in one of my favorite cities — New York," said Tilbury via a press release. "I have worked at this incredible, legendary show before and the dreamy, gorgeous supermodels have inspired the beauty DNA for so many of my magical products — from the perfect pouts to glowing goddess eyes."

This year also marks the fifth anniversary of the Charlotte Tilbury brand, so for the makeup artist herself, the partnership is a fitting way to celebrate. "It is a dream come true to be doing Victoria's Secret show makeup this year with my brand, on our [fifth] birthday, with the world's most heavenly models that are a dream to work with!"

In the same release, Tilbury also teased some product offerings that will result from the partnership: "I will also be bringing back two gorgeous, limited-edition products that will be used on the Angels to create the official look."

Fashionista has reached out to Victoria's Secret for comment as to what (if anything) this may mean for the brand's own beauty line and will update this post as information becomes available.
