Interior Ministry Launches Hotline for Tourists

Lebanon's Interior Ministry on Wednesday announced the launching of a new hotline aimed at providing assistance to tourists during their stay in the country.

By dialing 1735, tourists will be able to ask questions, report incidents they may be involved in, or lodge complaints related to being charged too much by sellers, a hotline operator who belongs to the Tourist Police told The Daily Star newspaper.

The hotline will receive calls from affected tourists and, if needed, “security forces can take appropriate action,” Interior Minister Raya El Hassan tweeted on Wednesday.
