Women's Day Encloses Significant Importance This Year in Lebanon

As the world is marking the International Women's Day, this celebration has enclosed a significant importance this year in Lebanon where more than 100 women have submitted their candidacy for the parliamentary elections. The Kataeb party also has its share of this record-breaking number, with many female candidates bracing themselves to take part in the parliamentary race.

On This ‘Day Without a Woman,’ Don’t Leave Women Oppressed by Sharia Law Behind

Wednesday is International Women’s Day, and the organizers of the Women’s March are holding another protest. This one is called A Day Without a Woman, in solidarity with those women who have lower wages and experience greater inequalities. The protest encourages women to take the day off work, avoid shopping other than in small women- and minority-owned stores, and wear red.
