Lebanon Receives New Shipment of U.S. Missiles

Lebanon on Wednesday received a new shipment of U.S. missiles as part of ongoing assistance to the Army. According to a statement issued by the U.S embassy in Beirut, the batch consists of laser-guided rockets valued at more than $16 million, deeming them as a key component of a fleet of A-29 Super Tucano attack aircraft previously delivered to Lebanon. The embassy statement stresses the U.S. administration's "firm and steady commitment to support the Lebanese military as the sole, legitimate defender of Lebanon."
