Kataeb MPs Elias Hankache and Nadim Gemayel on Friday deplored the mayhem that has been disrupting the functioning of the Beirut Airport over the past few months, with today's chaotic events being the latest to occur.
“In the light of the farce that has been going on at the airport for months, it is time for the relevant authorities to assume responsibility by firing the airport's general director,” Gemayel said on his Twitter account.
For his part, Hankache the ongoing mismanagement at said facility, demanding immediate actions to address this issue.
“Mistakes happen in all airports, but with the recurring mismanagement of the crisis in Beirut Airport, I suggest the following:
- Each of the concerned parties must shoulder its responsibility;
- Address this crisis immediately by adopting modern techniques in ports and airports’ management;
- Launching works at the Hamat or Kleyaat airports.
