Former Bosnian Leader Sentenced to Life in Prison over War Crimes

Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday for the Srebrenica massacre and the war crimes he committed in the 1990s. UN judges in The Hague increased Karadzic's 40-year sentence issued in 2016, deeming it as not enough compared to the "sheer scale and systematic cruelty" of his crimes.
